It snowed all day.
  • Breakfast: oatmeal with maaseru. We had to work out some financial business, which finally got done, after much puzzlement and torment over simple arithmetic.
  • Lunch: lunacy_gal joined us for lunch at the Vietnamese Kitchen on Bank near Hopewell - the place that used to be the Pe-Nan Wok. It was a bit disorienting to see the interior changed ( Read more... )

You are not hopeless. You can cast on!!! I challenge you to knit/purl just two rows every day and soon you'll be a knitting fool like me. :-)

As for U.N.C.L.E., have no fear - I loved it. And besides I have yet to actively dislike anything you've ever shown me *g*

Knit/purl two rows a day... Erk. Okay, I'll take that challenge. I might even increase it to 30 stitches per row.

Wanna see more U.N.C.L.E.? Warning: after a season or two it turns in to crack. But it's still Napoleon and Illya. Besides, I have a desire to write Napoleon/Illya slash.

Napoleon and Illya - their love is 4ever! I rewatched the first two seasons as soon as they were released on DVD and loved them. I'm holding off on seasons 3 and 4 as the show really jumped the shark. But the first season was spectacularly good and I've never fallen out of love with Illya. I never found a cool, mysterious blond for myself but I can still dream on.

I'm so far just watching episodes from season 1 that I have never seen. The first one I ever saw was "The Dove Affair" - which is 1x12. Since I've got as far as 1x08, that means only a few to go before I get to the ones I saw when it first aired. That being said - I'm not sure I remember any of the plots, so it's all fresh again.

Robert Vaughn had some interesting things to say in his memoirs about how and why the show jumped the shark. In my early teens, I loved it anyway. We'll see what I think now.

I wish I could get The Girl from U.N.C.L.E..

I love Illya more than ever before. I'd forgotten how good he was. Just the way he stands is sexy!
