Nothing much has been happening of late, I'm still job hunting and getting fed up with it. Easter came and went woope de doo! The weather is quite nice and my apple trees have just come into bloom, the bottom of the garden smells heavenly

Don't forget the Cyberman and the Ood! lol I'm looking forward to it, I'm told that when the Dalek was here last summer he not only scared the pants off the kids but he flirted outrageously with the mums!

I don't really like the Ood, but I'd be curious about the Cybermen, as long as they don't want to make me one of them. ;)

258 miles not close enough for laundry so she's getting a crash course in everything this summer, lol she's never had to do anything harder than make toast and boil an egg, I doubt if she would even know where the soap goes in the washing machine or which end of the iron gets plugged in! Deep joy I get to do the training. 8P

It's always good to hear from you. I'm also still unemployed (well, I have my own businesses as always, but no one hires me these days). I've had to spend a lot of time offline because my mother had surgery earlier this month (she's recovering)... and because my computer is a terminal case. (I've ordered a new one, but doing so has bankrupted me and caused a still-unresolved PayPal problem... which I won't bore you further with.) ;) This is the first time in two weeks I've successfully gotten LJ to load, and text appears on the screen about fifteen seconds after I type it

I finished my 12 week crash course in computers in 5 weeks. I found that the work was easy even though some of it I had never done before. I have signed up for the next course now which starts in october, that will be 3 hours a week for 30 weeks which will be fine. Though I have heard that the tutor keeps everyone all together so no speeding ahead for me even if I wanted to! Luckily as I am still unemployed I was able to get it for free even though it doesn't start until october. It is curiously called The European Computer Driving License! Daft name if you ask me. :)

Congrats on your success. ;) I've never actually gotten a job out of any of my vocational/technical courses either, but they have helped in other ways. It actually might be a good idea to require licensing for computer "drivers", given how obnoxious a lot of online chatter is these days. ;)

I went on the site of galaxy zoo and I registered.
I have to leave 15 days and I shall have no access to the network. But I look forward to identify my first galaxy. This experience, I owe it to you! Thanks !
