Home Sweet Home

Two weeks isn't long enough for a decent holiday, though I have to admit that I feel as though I have been away much longer. The last two days before coming home on saturday were spent trying to fit in as many places as we could, there is still so much to see and do.

And Now The End is Near )

I haven't seen my boyfriend in nearly a month due to various individual responsibilities and jobs...you get used to it but it gets cumulatively frustrating as well. I hope in both our cases it's a temporary situation. But I am used to there not being a man in the house because apart from John, there hasn't been one around regularly since the early 1990s. ;)

You didn't get any pics of a massive owl flying off with a deer in its talons, did you? ;) We have all sorts of owls in the yard, but they never manage to keep the deer out of our garden. The biggest owl I've seen locally is a Great Snowy Owl....but he's taxidermied in the glass case in our living room. ;)

It's been fascinating hearing about your trip, and I hope you and the cat have made a successful, peaceful transition back to home life. My congrats to your daughter as well. You must be very proud.

No it didn't try to take the deer but it will try for a small dog apparently.

The cat has finally forgiven me for putting her in the cattery but now this week I bought the wrong cat food.....

I'm just glad that she managed to pass the exam as I think getting her to do it a third time would have been next to impossible.

Thanks, two months on (sorry to be so late with a reply) hubbys job seems to be working out quite well and college has settled down for the daughter, her universities are all picked out and now we wait, while she continues to work hard, for the place offers to arrive. I'm not sure I'm looking forward to he leaving home next year but I'm sure she will be ok.

The holiday seems like a dream now.... 8D
