For the last 9 years or so my daughter has taken part in a series of dance competitions, held once a year not far from where we live. When she started she was 9 and the very first dance she did was a ballet solo. Over the years there have been other solos in ballet and then later lyrical. Two weeks isn't long enough for a decent holiday, though I have to admit that I feel as though I have been away much longer. The last two days before coming home on saturday were spent trying to fit in as many places as we could, there is still so much to see and do.

Another tiring weekend over, I swear I go to work for the rest. Just for once I'd like to get up on saturday morning and have absolutley nothing to do, no ironing, no washing, no shopping, no whiny kid saying 'I need..... for monday', no hubby wanting to do what ever, no family wanting to be carted about.
