So it's been a while, but Movie Night is back! This time with bonus koilungfish and apprentice_lurk... and with one of the most twenty-four-carat-awesome movies I've seen in a looooong time. ^_^

100% agree with every damn word! I love this movie so much!

And that's not just cos I got a direct reply and a re-tweet from the man, the legend, Stone Cold himself, when I tweeted him to say this chick was definitely going to see the movie when it came out! ;-)

So so much love for the way Sly was able to walk that fine line between a serious, hard-core, action movie and the delightfully sly little digs at themselves and the genre along the way.

I recall an interview with Sly about the time the movie came out, when he commented on working with legitimately tough guys like Randy Couture and Steve Austin. As he put it, Couture is the last guy to whom he was going to say, after a fight scene, "Hey, that was great Randy - can we do it again and this time, you slow it down a bit?" -chuckles-

Now you got me feeling all nostalgic for this movie - gonna have to dig out my copy and give it another watch!

I want to watch this for movie for Austin but I'm haven't gotten he chance yet to rent it.
