...snow!
Real snow like we used to get when I was a kid in Yorkshire. For the first time in what I'm pretty sure is years. I was at band practice tonight and when we came out... oh, man. Someone at work last week (who's just back from South Africa as their Christmas vacation) was asking me about Canada and snow.
It's hard trying to explain snow to people who've never experienced it - and how damn zen and unbelievably beautiful I found it. Halfway through me trying to explain what it's like to watch snow fall and she said, "Oh my God, look at the expression on your face! You're there aren't you?"
Snow is . . . yeah. I get you, hon, totally.
Rock ON!

I certainly am not sure how I'd explain it to someone who'd never seen it, though - especially not with the weird way the air feels, and the strange still cold, and the way the flakes dance in the air... *sighs happily*
And guess what, it's tomorrow, and it's still happening! *tugs you over to sit and look out the window with me*

And how the sound gets muffled, and that incredible glow of moonlight when there's snow on the ground. And the feel of walking in it. And oh! How it looks when you see the flakes falling in a streetlight!! -happy sighs too!-

Oh squeeeeee! Now we need cups of tea and we can get all zen and chilled out, watching the pretty snow! ;-)

Well, never mind tea, my sis and I just made bowls of tomato soup and an entire pack of crumpets - so if you want some of that, you're welcome. *shares, with a grin*
*puts kettle on and stirs fire up* There we go. Christmas-card-perfect! ^_^
