So i'm lying on my stomach on the bed and benjamin is bringing me shots, applying hot compresses, and squeezing thick goo out of a cyst on my back.
I've had this tiny bump on my back for at least a year, in the back of my mind I thought it should be looked at but i've been without health insurance and it just didn't seem terribly important.  On ( Read more... )

Baby, I do it because,

a) I have the best lady and I will do anything for her,
b) Nothing grosses me out. :P

I'm so glad that you have health insurance now.

Thanks for the dinner help and for dishes! We're almost making my teeth a little hurty from the sweet right now, sexy. Imma go ahead and kiss you after I hit Post Comment.

In a word, hlarf. But you are a very lucky Nadja. I remember doing this with my dad in an insurance-less time.

Ooof, that is probably worse than doing it for someone you're romantical with, but good job on that filial piety!

They are SO GROSS, Irina. It's not like popping a zit, it's like all the zits you have ever had oozing out of your back.

I'm a firm believer that love means being able to say "hey, would ya get that?" and also "hey, c'mere so that I can take care of a gross thing." I hope your back is better soon!

Thanks! Hopefully my doctor can/will remove it (not super clear on what the "it" is that gets removed) and I can stop being disgusting.

This oughta teach me to read the title before the post next time :P
Still, that sounds like a healthy progression of things. The cyst treatment I've seen at the vet's involved lancing, and then flushing the 'cavity' (hole? Compartment?) with saline and antiseptics, accompanied with antibiotics and hot compress for the go-home. Of course, not being a Real Doctor, this is only my speaking from experience. But my experience tells me that you've got 2/3 covered!
