It was a long weekend, full of lots of running around and culminating in one worn out little birdie. Sid and I had to cancel our Friday night plans since I was way sick -- turns out it was for the best since one of our people had some family stuff come up and couldn't have been there anyway. I was losing my voice off-and-on most of the day;

I realize this kinda sounds bad, since I actually pointed out the book to you, but can I borrow it sometime to read the Tired Girls section? I'm pretty sure I'm such a tired girl because of my allergies, but I'm always looking for new sources of hypochondria! ;)

We read The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down for a medical anthropology course a year or so back. Good book; aside from the cultural clash between Hmong beliefs and our medical system, it also goes over Hmong-American interaction during Vietnam and immigration after.
