Those are good resolutions! I hope you *can* find a job closer to home; a 60-mile daily commute gets tiring!

those are great goals! i can't believe you commute and hour. i know that lots of people do it-in fact, the majority of nurses that i work with do it-but i don't think i could survive it. i barely manage to make it there by 5:45 am and it takes me exactly seven minutes to get to work-ten if i don't stop for coffee! i hope you have a wonderful New Year!

That sounds great (your goals that is)! That 60 mile commute sounds pretty lousy :( Mine is manageable -- about 40 miles RT except when I have school then it's about 60. It sucks. Of course I am taking radical action to correct that problem, so I don't even need to make it a resolution :)

I also wanted to thank you for taking the time to write me the other day regarding my self-deprecating comments. I am trying to not go down that route, but rather to "just do it." I went to the gym today and did the fast walk/jog combo (week 1 of the C25K) and got about 2.15 miles in 30 minutes (including the 5 minute warmup) and burned just shy of 300 kcal. It's definitely a start. My goal is to get there this Thursday and Saturday, so we'll see how that goes.

So anyway back to you... great job with all of the changes you made it 2006 and I hope you have a happy start to your 2007!

60 mile daily commute! Ugh...Is that how far you have to drive to find decent jobs in your area or did you just choose to drive that far because you wanted that particular job?
