Canon Update Nummer Zwei!
No drabble this time, sorry darlings. Just straight, possibly nonsensical facts!
Upon returning home, Miranda remained with the Earl and other Noah for as long as possible. She continued to write for the Earl, and occasionally underwent smaller missions for him. Mostly things were quiet for her, and she was very glad for that. Once she was assigned to the mission in Geneva, however, everything was shot to hell.
Daisya, Alma and Kanda were there, and Miranda was expected to help fight them and generally increase the amount of chaos happening at the U.N. building. She didn't do this! Instead she turned coat, helping Daisya and the others destroy the akuma before she fled.
Since then she's been in hiding, keeping occasional contact with the Exorcists via a golem but not spending any significant amount of time with them. This isn't for lack of trust of them on her part, but rather lack of trust in herself. Joyd is only getting worse, and the longer she stays away from the clan the more the Earl is increasing his attempts to find her.
The fact that Alex went apeshit didn't exactly help her confidence.
Still, she's trying her best to help her friends in her own way, although she feels hugely guilty about how things are. She betrayed the family because she didn't want to see the world falling to ruins, and that's exactly what's happened anyways. She's lost weight and the bags under her eyes are back, though only a few akuma have been sent to find her thus far. She's frustrated, guilty, scared; angry at herself, the Earl, the Exorcists and the world in general... Basically in that order. Yet despite everything she's maintaining hope, determined as ever to win out.
