- Went to: family reunion (surprisingly fab in parts, partly because all of the weird members of the family hung out together at our campsite), the Dublin Irish Festival (Ohio, not Ireland, alas -- but much in the way of marvels though cut short by a rainstorm, and also I tripped on nothing and strained my knee for two weeks), and a cabin in West

And yay, a link to your Tumblr. I just got into the Tumblr thing and knew you had one, but wasn't sure which it was...I am off to follow you right now.
I am so sorry recent developments have been a mixture of rather nice and really terrible. On the one hand, your new literary project sounds terribly exciting; on the other, jobs-that-pay-the-bills never, ever are. I do understand that moving and doing everything by yourself can be daunting...I recently just did that, and it was not as terribly complicated as I thought it would be, but I had time to prepare. I just started grad school (library science, as a matter of fact) - would you like me to alert you whenever I receive news about scholarships? I know the library field is in need of new blood, so to speak, and offers lots of scholarships. My professors are always sending us information on different opportunities. I can certainly pass them your way!
Hang in there, dear. I hope work is not too unbearable tonight.

I have had Some Thoughts about futureplansetc, but consider this a placeholder until my brain is less teetering on the edge of reality, and I'll email you soon.
*hugs*

This is just me stopping by to be totally creepy and admit that I sort of stalk your Tumblr (I don't have one of my own, or I would follow you properly). Anyway, whenever you post bits of the Marwick trilogy, it absolutely makes my day. So I'm sending encouragement and tenacious thoughts, because I'd love to be able to buy it in a bookstore one day and give it to my friends. It just...makes me happy that there are people like you writing things like that and putting them out into the universe.
Sorry if this is too desperately weird a comment, but I've been thinking it for a while now, so it came out bigger than it might otherwise have done.

I was thinking about the question of what one wants to say to the world just this morning, because I'm not certain I have an answer to it, and I feel like that explains a lot about my writing...
