How do you think she's crazy? I think she's nutters, but it's in a good way because it's really rather pleasant.

Only ten? I don't know, you've not been the most horrible brother ever as of late yeah?

I don't know, Sirius. I don't know what to do. I feel as though I'm inherently wrong because of everything. I've killed, I've been a turncoat, I've all but killed myself to try and take back wrongs that I can never take back and I'm dead. I'm supposed to be nineteen but I'm technically still eighteen and I don't know what I am.

Bugger all this is the worst curse in the world, I need to shut off my brain right now so I can stop.

He hoots every so often, yeah. It's better than talking to the wall and he listens well enough. Dinosaur just tries to take my socks and that's not very progressive toward a good relationship with it, you know.

[Severus has been holed up in his laboratory, like he does. A soft popping noise heralds his return to the flat, and immediately senses the shift in the place - unless Regulus did some re-arranging.

Most people wouldn't notice, but Severus isn't most people. If Regulus had left a spoon somewhere different he'd note and mentally record it. Quiet-moving as always, he leaned one hand on the doorframe to the sitting room, slowing and lingering there, gaze casting toward his former schoolmate.]

[ Regulus is, for all intents and purposes, curled up in a chair, reading. There's a cup of cold tea next to him, and while everything is fixed that he broke - yes, not everything is in its right place.

He glances up though, gaze falling on Severus before he nods. ]

Morning.

[ sometime after dawn]

[He just gives the younger man a look for a moment, and then shrugs off his coat, sending it off to hang itself up in a closet. He duplicates the cup of tea, heats both up, and sits across from him. Severus is quiet for a little while, enjoying the tea, and looking at nothing in particular.]

What happened?

[It should be noted that Severus is being truly uncharacteristically considerate by not asking What did Sirius do this time? instead.]

[ He nods thanks and sits with the tea a moment before he speaks. ]

Sirius. Decided to get on a high horse and tell me that Claire is, of all things, a fool and a liar. Talked down on me, talked fucking stupidity on the people I care for, trust, brought up the past in conjunction with telling me I'm wrong to trust Claire.

[ It's clear enough what the past entails, and he's getting angry again. He carefully sets the cup aside before it explodes. Again. ]

Think anyone would notice if I killed him? It would be easy.

[ This is easily the most malicious he's been since his arrival - forgotten curse notwithstanding. ]
