Hi! We're home. But Hubby's car is still in Clarion. He had his AC Compressor go and seized the bearing and broke the serpentine belt. Luckily we ended up staying in a hotel with the rest of our barony and found someone to help us get everybody home. I'm sorry i didn't get a chance to say goodbye before we left we left early saturday morning, planning to get as far as Wilkes Barre on saturday so we could get plumbing work done on sunday. Needless to say none of that got done. Then i got home to discover that my computer is untrustworthy at best. Something is wrong with the power supply so every once in a while it just stops, unexpectedly. Blah. Talk to you more later---

Unfortunately, yes. Because on top of everything, i've got 600 worth of charges that are declined and the mechanic just called hubby's car is going to run somewhere between 900-1400 to fix. It never rains. it pours. Oh and did i tell you that we had no water either--so we had to have plumbing work done when we got home.

600 declined? i take it you were not running them AT war??? did you get contact info???? i get full contact info AND pennsic badge number if i cant run it onsite....
try to contact the person, it may be a simple problem... (weird stuff does happen)... but if you cannot contact them they should be reported to cindy *immediately* and then to the police.
seriously, get yourself a LARGE amount of sage, rosemary, frankincense, and cascara sagrada and smudge the house....
Hey, we chatted early in the war and I was going to bring a doublet by to look at the spangles but I never found the time. I spent less time in a merchant booth than you but I still found that most days I walked up before most people were open and I left after most had closed. Maybe next year I'll actually have the time to see people. Once hubby decides what he wants done with his doublets I'll probably order some spangles.
If the fudge lady was Canadian I can probably get the info -- our camp had one lady who made really tasty fudge and who did have a medic visit at one point.
you know, i am lousy enough at accents that i really couldnt say where she was from, but she didnt sound "exotic" so not a NZ or Ozzie.. canada? ok...
she said her camp was giving her hell for being stupid.... deservedly so (according to her) i know she had asthma, and she walked around the camp in the heat and sun, and bought a hat after THAT and came into my tent..... she looked awful so we made her sit down and drink water...when she started getting nauseous one of the other folks in tent ran for Chirurgeons and got the EMTs to come get her.
she dropped off the fudge when i was out doing a run to my storage locker.
That was probably her, the story sounds right! Her line for the evening was "I'm a idiot!" and the proper response was "Yes, you are!" ;) I just sent her a note to see if it was indeed her.
pennsic EQUALS interesting weather.... its just a definition.
brutally hot the first week, then wet and humid and sticky the second week at least we had two dry days for pack down, although my tent was still damp.
