That's really horrible and I'm sorry you experienced it. Good for you for standing your ground and following up with a complaint. That takes a lot of energy and isn't easy.

yeah.. i really did not need this guy using up all my spoons for the day.

i can cope with ignorance. its annoying but hey, no one gets all the education about EVERYTHING they could run into.. its cool

aggressive hostility? thats different

I wonder if, half the time, stupid people are programmed to think that only Labrador retrievers can be service dogs?

(NOT a criticism of you ... just wondering if non-blind people with Lab service dogs get this kind of hassle.)

Anyhow, good for you for getting Wayne some help.

I had a blind friend hassled for NOT having a dog. (She had a blind spot, and good peripheral vision so mobility wasn't much of an issue for her) Go figure eh?

i have a completely blind friend (no visibility AT ALL) who gets hassled for not having a dog all the time

she prefers not.

honestly a service dog is a great thing, BUT requires that you spend most fo your time with a dog... plan around the dog (potty breaks, water, food, vet) and etc and it is not everyone's thing!
its also an added expense, honestly.
dog food isnt covered by a lot

why people think its their business to hassle people about which method they use to deal..??? i never understood

Yup, understood. A dog can make such a huge difference in so many ways, but you gotta love them, or at th very least tolerate them, and be willing to do all that work etc. And if it just isn't your thang, then meh ( ... )

What the hell is wrong with people? It's not rocket science, clearly the hospital needs to retrain their security guards.

at least two of them.. with one of them being just ignorant (and a bit rude) and one being ...
well my favored method of education might involve rabid weasels...

i assure you... there WILL be some re training done

Eh. Much much commiserations. And good on you for the complaint even though you were reacting so badly by then. That dude really needed a complaint against him.
