It blew a rod???? My old volvo did that a few years back, thankfully right as I was pulling in my parking spot and NOT while I was driving. The mechanic kept telling me how damned lucky I was that it didn't go while I was driving. Yes, Wayne is extremely lucky. Unfortunately, considering the cost of the repair, it might be cheaper to go find another used car for under $1000. Either way, it still sucks.

oh my..that so sucks. I'm sorry.... I wish i could help, but this is going to be an impossible month with having until the 26th to get my jewelry from the pawn shop (or at least paying all the interest) and I'm hopefully filing for divorce this month, and the huge phone bill my child managed to accrue while we were at pennsic having an absolute deadline of the 15th of this month...ack. But I am thinking good thoughts your way and I'll say an extra prayer for you.

has your child been made to understand how phone bills work? i did that when i was a kid and had to sit through three HOURS of lectures on how phone bills work...

Yes, she does, and even more so it is now impossible for her to accrue download and web fees of that much on her phone.

Straight Talk has a pay as you go phone that has a monthly card - $30 gets you 1000 minutes, 1000 texts, and I forget how much mobile web time for 30 days. $45 for unlimited use. Could be a good way of controlling how much time the wee one spends on the phone if you get the $30 plan. If you use up the 1000 minutes before the next refill date? Oh well!! :)
