Do you want to talk at all about the makeover at Kensington Palace (which has long had a substantial exhibit on fashion history)

Flickr is an awesome source of pics... and many of them have creative commons licenses.

It might be a good idea to talk about Mod and Sixties Fashion, which is coming back in again... and that London was an importance center for Punk...

Don't forget Vivienne Westwood...

Also-the Television Show Absolutely Fabulous might provide some excellent fodder!

They make not be high fashion but to me London = Dr. Marten's. The line has gotten kind of boring in the last decade or two. They no longer have velvet boots or lace or glitter.......but they still are the first thing that comes to mind when I think of London fashion. They also point out that the English tend to have wider feet since most of the "average" width shoes over there are wider than ours here.

Just my 2 cents.

HIGH doesnt have to enter into it.
its just a question of how many of us "do london" so how narrow my pie slice gets..

I didn't even know what bespoke tailoring even was until this post. So I did a quick search on clusty.com. Some of the Savile row tailors are listed, like this one
