The blonde, blue eyed American terrorist who wants to protect the poor muslems by killing some cartoonist. She is from Pennsburg.

I'm pretty sure they'll understand, given the situation.

One day in 2007 I had to call in to work 'trapped in the house'. Why? First, the buses weren't running on my route because there's a steep hill a block away, and we'd had a nasty bit of snow and ice. Then, my neighbors' house burned down in the middle of the night (long story, see 1/12/07ish on my LJ), and that morning the fire department still had the street blocked off, and I couldn't have gotten out if I'd wanted to because they still had equipment in my driveway.

So, yeah. Circumstances out of your control, really. And if they don't believe you, tell them to turn on the news.

I can relate. I work in DC. Got to use "Bomb Threat" as an excuse for being late, one day last week.

Ahhh, yes.... "serving a search warrant" they call it. One cop and a little patience is all they REALLY need. I mean, hell, the IRS got Capone!

Gorram idjits and their victimless crimes are to blame. Thugs.

i have no idea whether it is warranted (pardon the pun)

last time the swat team raided the place (and arrested the one guy) they found guns out on the back porch under the windows (presumably thrown there) and since he is a parole.... and the guns are not registered to anyone else in the house.......

he was injured during the arrest, they ended up tearing his colostomy bag.... which he has because he was shot on the corner about two years ago in some kind of gang related exchange.

i TRY very hard to not know much about the neighbors

The parolee thing = felon in possession. PA doesn't register guns.
