RIP Ricardo Montalban

Ricardo Montalban died yesterday at the age of 88.

He was a prolific actor, best known among us geeky sorts for his role as Khan Noonian Singh (forgive any spelling errors) on Star Trek, original series and movie.  He played all sorts of roles, in various classic Tv and movies. from the sublime to the ridiculous (i will never forget him playing a ( Read more... )

Ricardo Montalban will be missed. IMO Khan was his best role, and I did see that Hawaii 5-0 episode.

i thought Khan was one of his better roles.. although SOME of the episodes of Fantasy Island were right up there...(mind you some of them were so horrible they were funny, so it balanced out)

i remember him as a bullfighter.. oh lord.. Columbo?? it was a murder mystery.. he played a bullfighter.

he managed to make almost any role, no matter how bad, or tacky, or unbeliveable.. work.. at least while you were watching him.. even if after words you went "i DONT f ing believe that!"

You didn't even mention Fantasy Island- after they started developing Rourke's character (just what WAS he?) it was even more fun to watch. I can hardly wait for it to show up on Netflix.
