2013 FANDOM STEEL CAGE MATCH MARCH MADNESS FANDOM NOMINATIONS

Mar 05, 2013 09:00

Welcome to the Sixth Fandom Steel Cage Match March Madness - and the first under new management. Exciting, right? No? Still? Well, fair enough, but to make this year interesting, we do got some news for ya. You, the players, will be able to choose what fandoms will be participating in the brackets. Okay, important disclaimer: not all of them. We must maintain some level of stability here, so two per genre, eight in total. Consider this pre-pre-campaigning? A campaign before the campaign? The NBA All-Star Game of Fandom March Madness? Is the effectiveness of using professional ball analogies there when this game based around a college tournament? We just don't know.

Rules/Directions

1. Vote for UP TO THREE fandoms in each poll. The top two will make it on this year's bracket.

1b. VOTE BY USING THE FANDOM'S FULL NAME. This is write-in ballot system. Make it easier for us. Your votes will be discarded otherwise. Swear to God, we are not joking.

2. YOUR CHOICES MUST FOLLOW THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA. Yeah, that's right, we're getting mad NCAA on your asses. Scroll a bit further, and you find them before your polls. Got questions? Ask them before you vote. We got a section for that down in the comments.

3. VOTING WILL CLOSED ONE HOUR EARLIER THAN USUAL.. Due to the nature of the chosen ballot system, we definitely will needing an extra hour to sort the votes, so please get your votes by 12PM EST!

4. SHUT YOUR WHINING. We don't want to hear any complaints about how this game is being run wrong, what shows are represented in the bracket, etc and so forth. Given the level of morning and night activity, we guarantee the greater, vocal majority are grown-ass adults. Act like you got some sense. (Also we are giving you a chance to vote in things. If you don't like what we have cut or added, that's cool. We don't care. Save your complaints and vote.)

5. NO FAKE JOURNALS and NO OUTSIDE PLATFORMS (DREAMWIDTH, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, ETC.). Due to previous incidents of ballot stuffing, fake Livejournals created during the dates of this or any previous game OR any platform that isn't Livejournal (Dreamwidth, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) will not be counted in the results. It's not that serious.

6. A schedule of the tournament can be found HERE. (Please note that US Daylight Savings Time starts on March 10, 2013 at 2AM EST. Check here for time zones.)
