I think you're being wise in being careful with your money. So many people our age are in ridiculous amounts of debt--both from student loans and credit cards--that it's refreshing to hear when someone is keeping an eye on their spending and keeping a focus on the future

ditto what you said lol. I dont have any credit cards, they just seem awful to me... i live by the motto if you can't pay for it, don't buy it lol. The only debt I have are my student loans, and I definatly don't want to add credit card debt to the mix! My parents can't really help me out financially anymore and I'm glad for it because it really has taught me a lot. I remember back my sophomore year of college, all my suitemates went on spring break together. And i couldnt go. Their parents put down $1200 for them with 1 days notice. My parents could not, because well, thats a bit much without much advance notice. At the time i was a bit disapointed but I'm glad now that it wasn't handed to me like that. Someday I'll make it somewhere fun on vacation and i'll know it's from money i worked hard for... i think i'll enjoy it all the more! lol

And i know just the area you're talking about. I actually really like that area. It has lots of old charm!
