A Mixed Bag

Since I last posted, there's been a mix of goings on.

A few weeks ago my MIL & FIL's 11 year old rottie (Max) became lame in a hind leg. The vet said it appeared to be some sort of nerve damage, and that nothing could be done. Within a week he began wasting away at a rapid pace. He became lethargic and my MIL decided that he needed to be put to ( Read more... )

I'm sorry about your cat. It's so difficult to let them go.

I didn't really want to be there, at first, but now I'm glad I was. He stared right into my eyes the entire time, and I think he was comforted that I was there.

Thank you for your condolences, and kind words.

oh honey, I think one of the hardest things to do is put a beloved member of the family down. The only time I've had to do this was with Cinders our stray black cat who found us...I'd never seen Ed cry before this!

(((Hugs)))

I'm just loving Moonlight! I sure hope that they renew it for another season! and the DA looking at the pix of Mick...hmmmmm....it's going to get interesting!

Take care doll!

Honestly, I hope I can be as brave when I have to be there for one of my own dogs. I can't even bear to imagine having to make that decision for either one of the baby dogs. *refuses to think of it*

Thank you for the hugs, sweetie. *hugs back*

I'm so glad you're enjoying Moonlight too! It does look like they are picking it up for next season. :) Yep, it's going to be a fun ride.

This entry made me cry. It's been 8-9 years but I have a dog I loved very much who died. I wasn't there, she was hit by a car but she had a very good heart, she loved me with all she had. She looked so peaceful when she was dead, just sleeping but totally gone from me. Couldn't say good bye and have her hear me.

Anyways, I guess the main thing I meant to say is sorry for the loss of the dog, I am sure that was very sad...

I know what you mean. I had a German Shepherd that died when I wasn't home, he'd apparently been bitten by a snake. I felt horrible for not being there with him. They knew that we loved them though, even if we weren't there to say goodbye. I'm sorry to remind you of sad memories.

Thank you for your kind words. *hugs*

I'm so sorry about Max. Having lost our Sparkle last summer, I know how hard it is. My sympathies. =<{

Thanks. Fortunately, at 17 1/2, she died in her sleep, but we've had to have one dog and one cat put to sleep and it's just so sad.

After 17 1/2 years, we still really miss our Sparkle. She was the best dog I've ever known. =>}

So sorry to hear about your IL's dog. I've been in their position, and it's one of the hardest things to do. But he's at peace, and he went knowing he was loved. :hugs:

We've discussed Lost. You know my feelings. Hate Jate. Hate it!

Loving Moonlight, but you already know that.

Thank you sweetie. I knew you'd understand. *hugs back*

Jate sucks a dirt biscuit. *sporks*

Oh yeah, Moonlight is much fun. I'm so glad you're liking it too. :)
