I lost someone very dear to me; in a true emotional reaction, I pulled back sharply and kept only the people on my list whom I had continued to interact with. I cut over half my friends list, and there wasn't entirely any criteria other than... would they care? Again, emotional reaction... and I probably cut people out who WOULD care, but to be perfectly blunt, you're the first person I cut from the list who gave enough of a shit to even ask. So I think, in the balance, I was mostly right about the people I cut... they didn't really care.
I'm likely shutting down THIS journal for the time being... you should have another journal on your "friend of" list.
