As a half Jew with tons of gassed ancestors and quite a few relatives out of their mind with fear in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, I feel hear you loud and clear. And as a former card carrying communist (in Italy) and socialist, my heart is full of outrage listening to the idiotic apologist BS so so many leftists are spouting right now concerning the murderous terrorists in palestine.
I have cut out a ton of people from my life because they suddenly became raving covidiots and conspirationists. Then some more who kissed putin's ass. And now, the next copious and most serious, horrible cut of those who actually think there is a fucking excuse for killing Jews. My bubble is getting smaller and smaller and there is no end in sight...

I am so sad and angry about all of this. I don't really understand the Israel and Palestine thing but i do understand that a terrorist organization is slaughtering innocent people and it's just boggling to me that anyone could say that it's just well a thing because the Jews have it too good or something. Ugh. My heart hurts for all of those humans over there.

The history is such a long story at this point, and to some degree it doesn’t even matter anymore, because now they are just stuck in an impossible situation. Israel’s safety costs Palestinians’ lives and futures. Palestinian freedom comes with the killing of Jews.

But yes. You don’t have to know a single minute of all that in order to see that what Hamas did is sickening. Trying to excuse it is just as sickening. We can try to understand how these people became monsters, but they are monsters, plain and simple.
