quiet in a church--
this upstairs kingdom where
hearts pound like choirs

oh that's wonderful! you could name a book 'the upstairs kingdom'. your book of course!
i love the realms that your words conjure up, so magical. :))

I must give proper thanks to this marvelous photograph which brought me the inspiration. :))

I fell in love with the scene in the picture ... Wanting to be there, lying back on the ground and looking upward into the beauty...

That is certainly a good title for a book!

Thank you so much. x

well it was a pleasure for me:)

and tonight, here (where i live), it is starry and the trees hang with cats-cradles of frost,
the grass and the paths out of the valley crackle underfoot as if made of sugar.

Ah, how you tease me so ... delicately. :) What a poetic vista you have painted ... I envy you right now. I'd want to be out there, taking one photograph after another. Blissful sigh.

i am elongated like the branch taking an unexpected breath of greatness.

This poem is delicious. With or without the picture. Which is awesome, but the words...

Hello, Mardeen, and thank you. It's good when we find inspiration in things and we just have to write. :)
