cathedral
giants, make me feel
like i am smaller than small
yet bigger than the universe.
my tears are stars and my lashes
blink them out,
the sound is holy like the
quiet in a church--
this upstairs kingdom where
hearts pound like choirs
i am elongated like the branch
taking an unexpected breath
of greatness.
