And silently gets harder to ignore

I ran a mile almost without stopping today! In ten minutes! Obviously not that great, but it's a huge improvement for me. I even ran a good portion of the mile on the way back too. Noticeable progress, yay ( Read more... )

Which show are you going to on tour? I know you're further away from me now than you were last time, but I'm just curious. :)

Oh just good old Detroit! That's where most of my concerts will be now, if they're not in Lansing or Pontiac or Grand Rapids, or occasionally Chicago. Gettin down Michigan style! Haha.

i recently bought a mazda speed3 and I LOVE IT!! so much fun to drive! and yes, i find it to be the right kind of tiny while still being a four-door and pretty darn roomy enough inside.

i originally intended to test drive the regular mazda 3, but i really wanted a stick shift (and apparently unless you get the sporty versions, THEY DON'T MAKE THOSE ANYMORE). anyhow, good luck with the car search! it's all about the test drive and finding what feels right to you. the car i wanted most when i started my search ended up being the one i liked least after the test drive. and with the speed3 i just knew. and i haven't had one complaint since. :)

Oh, awesome!! I was eyeing the speed3 because it's got so much more hp and sounds super fun, but I don't like the hatchback styling nearly as much? That said, I'll definitely test drive it and I very well may fall completely and utterly head over heels! Haha.

The 2010 base Mazda3 definitely comes with a 5 speed manual! And the sportier one comes with a 6 speed manual, which, sweeeet. Maybe the older models didn't? I definitely want a manual as well!

So what was the price like for you? What are you looking at for monthly payments and insurance? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

well, here's what i discovered in my car search. most models do indeed come with a manual transmission in theory. the problem, i found, was that dealers didn't carry them. you could order one? but hell to the no am i buying a car without even test driving it - especially a manual! so much of what you're testing out is the feel of the clutch and how it shifts, etc. i found a honda civic with a manual, but only the two-door, and that was my other requirement, i wanted a four-door.

but perhaps you'll have more luck finding them than i did! maybe it's a west coast thing; people out here are lazy and don't want to actually drive their cars ( ... )
