Tell me about it - I've watched several episodes of SGA Season 3, and I just downloaded the entire first season so I can watch the whole show from the very beginning. I never cared much for SG-1, but SGA is really growing on me.
I've never seen SG-1 but I've never got the feeling that I could ever be all bouncy and fangirly about it - this one, however! I knew it was only a matter of time. All the characters are just so lovable, and you care about them. They've got such a great dynamic - humor and emotions aplenty. It's a wonderfully cast show, and I think that's the most important thing for ANY show, when you come right down to it. I just finished the first season on DVD and oh, is it marvelous :)
Dude, she broke up with him via VIDEOTAPE after she'd left for another galaxy. If she wanted him to wait around she should have, I dunno, talked to him in person? No sympathy for that, yo. :)
It's funny that you say that, because I think SGA is one of the most predictable shows in existence. Fun to watch, yes, but totally predictable.
Well, okay, maybe I'm just dumb, or perhaps too wrapped up in squealing to think ahead about the plot. It's not the fact that they win that's unpredictable, it's the specific howto. Usually. I don't know! I just love all the scientific gibberish that Rodney spouts to make all their problems go away - it makes me clap with glee :)
Re: Elizabeth, er, I forgot about that/didn't know she broke up with him. That was the first episode, and a lot of the particulars flew right by me! lol
Yeah, she did. She told him that she was going to another planet in another galaxy, and that this opportunity was too good to pass up.
What's funny about it is, when he tries to call her he gets a message like this: "The cellular customer you are trying to reach is outside the roaming area.". He looks at the phone and says "Tell me about it."
The above dialogue may not be exactly right - I'm watching the premiere ep right now and I'll have to go back later to verify.
Omigod omigod omigod!! *hops up and down with joy* I just nearly had a (happy) heartattack from seeing their HANDS all huge and hires and beautiful and oh oh oh! Thank you SO MUCH! And it's really sweet of you to come give me the link like this - I really appreciate it! Yay!! :D
