[For a brief moment, there's something in her eyes that Rei has never seen before. It looks almost like emotion, or maybe vulnerability. It's brief, flickering, then gone.]
I don't know. He is safer than you imagine, and in need of more help than you can give.

Against his will, I'm sure. [She moves subtly- limbs drawing in, knees closer to her chest in ways so small and slow you might miss them, but for the repetition of once, twice, thrice she shifts. The effect is of curling into herself very slightly, the way a marble statue might curl into a fetal position over slow centuries.]

[Sam doesn't even want to think about faith right now. He's more concerned with Raphael's physical state. The proverbial shit had hit the fan and he needed to know what was happening, who he needed to protect.]

If you ever find yourself in a fight with your fellow archangels, Sam, I advise you to keep your hand out of Lucifer's Grace. [It's snapped out too irritably, too vehemently to be anything but out of place and jarring for the normally gives-no-fucks angel.]

I'll...keep that in mind. [He's gonna push his luck here.] So, uh, why were you bad-touching Lucifer's grace to begin with? [Not that it wouldn't be a great idea, separating big bad and ugly from his power supply.]
[Video might sorta be offline as well, because she's flying around and one might see one another. Botan hasn't linked the two, though.]
I'm afraid that's a different department than the one I work in. My department is under Enma's control, but I believe that most of the religions and faith are based on pieces of what's really out there. People can only get so much right after all.
Well, it's true that knowledge can beget faith. It is different for those that work in the higher departments, though, like Angels. I thought you meant faith in a specific religion, not faith in general. I understand the kind through personal experience and facts, like you said.

[He is ignoring the question of faith. Faith is meaningless.]

There is no law here but what we make, Tom.

[Tom pauses, before something flickers in his eyes, and he looks almost... curious.]
Do you believe in God?

[A moment passes.]
Do you need a healer?

You could not help me.

[Saying that she can't help isn't a no, Raphael!]
Are you sure spiritual energy doesn't work?
Reply
...I am not. But I doubt you could heal this. The only way to describe it is to say it has already scarred over.
[She pauses delicately. Raphael sincerely loathes asking for help.] There is physical damage. The spiritual is impeding my natural ability to heal.
