Well.. That wasn't entirely true, but those were slightly more delicate situations, and a maze made of city buildings was not exactly delicate.

Kukaku shrugged. "My closest friends are Kisuke and a black cat." She smirked, "If that hasn't cursed me, I doubt there's much you can do."

Kukaku looked over at him. "Aside from building explosives, I prefer not to do anything alone if I can help it. I don't like being alone. Especially in unfamiliar places."

"It's a good rule of safety," The piemaker agreed. "Though I'm warning you, people kind of find me hard to deal with after a while. I guess all the...talking and the oddness and...everything." He shrugged uneasily.

Kukaku shrugged. "People find me hard to deal with after a while. I guess all the sarcasm and violence." She mimicked his phrasing. She knew she wasn't exactly the easiest woman to deal with.

Swallowing his nerves, Ned began to walk into the maze. "And anyway, what's there to be scared of?"
