"Here, Beat." She showed him the gift she had bought him. "I hope you don't already have one of these. It's a present."

His reaction pleased her as she smiled at her brother's words. "I'm so glad you liked it!"

Bruce Wayne had been leisurely enjoying himself at the Happiny Ever After Inn. He had a cup of coffee and was sitting alone near the window, seemingly lost in thought about something pleasant.

...That's what it may have appeared like, at least. The room he stayed in was mysteriously rather dark aside from the light shining in through the window.

Barbara had finally gotten out of her Batgirl outfit and into something significantly more comfortable. She had done a bit of research, finding out that 'Bruce Wayne' was around at the inn. Thus she decided to go 'meet' the guy. She knocked at the door, hoping she got the right room information.

Getting up, he went over to the door to see who was there. He didn't want to make a sour impression.

"Hello. Can I help you?" He was surprised to see a fair-looking young woman.

"Bruce Wayne, right?" She let a smile form as she greeted him. He certainly looked different from her own Bruce. Maybe a little younger and enthusiastic? At least he smiled in a way that was rare for the other.

"Yes, that's right." He kept smiling, but wondered what her business might be if she went through the trouble of seeking him out in a place like this. "Who might I be talking to?"

"Barbara Gordon." Since he kept the door open and seemed welcoming, she let herself in. It was best to speak privately, even if it was just friendly banter. "I found out you were staying here and decided to drop by for a visit. I do believe we've met before."

Gordon... that was interesting.

He didn't mind her coming in. Besides, he needed to find out just who she was. "Any relation to Gotham City's Commissioner Gordon?"

"Yeah. You're a friend of Dad's, right?" Sitting down on his bed, she crossed her legs and stared up at him. "I think he's mentioned you before."

"That's a bit odd." He begins. "I thought that both of Gordon's children were stil... well, children."

Both? And were children? She grinned, though. "I'm an only child. And quite obviously not a child."

The voice was a little familiar somehow, and she definitely had some of Gordon's look to her. He was curious. "I can see that. So, what brings Barbara Gordon all the way out here to find me?"
