[1. Mayfield High - Hallways. It started after lunchtime. It's still during break while she's making her way to the faculty office, when she starts hearing things that should not be there. Eyes wide and suddenly stopping dead in her tracks, she promptly drops all the papers and folders that she was carrying in her arms. ...Well, it's more

Easily hopping off of her rooftop perch, she lands gracefully beside the woman, quickly clasping her hands behind her back and leaning forward a bit to look at Ciel sideways.]
Hey...what are you doing?

Looks at Arcueid. And while she's facing her, her half-closed eyes aren't seeing ones. They're dull and lifeless, and somewhat unfocused.
She opens her mouth a bit, but doesn't say anything. There is something inquisitive about it, but it's so meek that it might as well not exist.]

Still, she never would have expected a look like that from the thick-headed nun. It almost...hurt to see it.
Arcueid places her hands on Ciel's shoulders, shaking her ever so slightly.]
Hey, what's the matter with you? Are you really that tired?

Her eyes gain a bit of focus, but not much. When she speaks, the tone is very weak and feeble.]
Are you here to take me back...?

[Despite his not asking it to, the empathy within the bits of the Collective Unconscious he has so far returned causes him to look over to Ciel and analyze her very closely. Not only is her matter of dress different, but he can sense some deep changes in her, and eventually chaos stands to move towards Ciel slowly, calling to her loud enough to be heard but not directly shouting]
Ciel, is something the matter? You usually aren't out dressed that way.

...Ah, someone was called out. But if a name has been uttered, then it can't possibly be addressed towards her. She doesn't have one, after all.
So after that brief pause, she resumes her aimless wandering.]

Hey, you alright?

[Having regained his magic, he immediately recognizes the Church's boundary field for what it is. It would be ideal to remove it before entering, but that could be considered an act of aggression.]
[That was his first reason at least, before figuring out that he couldn't at all. After assessing the strength of the magic in this place, he even begins to doubt he could have disposed of the field in his prime. Just what kind of magecraft does Ciel have?]
[He lets the effect influence him, at least somewhat minimized by knowing the reason. The dark pew-filled hall reminds him of a memory of his past. Imitating those times, Kiritsugu breaks the darkness with the light of a cigarette.]

Either way, the barrier won't resist when Kiritsugu enters. It's specifically set to try keeping out undead and other demonic beings. While it does normally double as a doorbell for her when someone enters, she's too distraught right now for anything to register. If Kiritsugu opts to stay in the main hall, he'll just continue to be greeted with silence, though there is an unsettling feel to it.
If he focuses, he might be able to tell that the premise is empty, but there is a presence further in. ...Keep waiting, leave, or investigate?]

[It is at this time that Kiritsugu considers she could very well be affected by the incident herself. In that case, he would typically simply leave, waiting for the following days to put an end to it.]
[Unfortunately, while Kiritsugu usually considers every life to be a 'one', Mayfield has reduced all of them to a 'zero'. He fears not for losing his life, for it would be a matter of hours until regaining it. Whatever information or alliances he can gather are worth the risk.]
[Black shoes echo as Emiya Kiritsugu delves further in, as ready to perish as only his curse can make him.]

P...lease. Be quiet--!!
[That's her voice, albeit badly shaken. It's followed by a loud clatter. Some things got knocked over...? But it's clear at least that it's coming from a half-closed door, down the corridor on his left hand side.]

GUESS
She doesn't really remember why her mind went "go find Ciel," but perhaps it was that miserable bond they shared.
She looks lethargic enough. Sleepless and weak, not like how she normally presents herself. She walks through the pews of the church listlessly, her hair and clothes occasionally being caught on something; she doesn't notice, and keeps on walking.]
Ciel? Ciel...?
[Suddenly there's another wave of panic, not unlike the one she'd gotten earlier.

She recognizes that name. It's her own.
She recognizes that voice. It's from someone she met here.
Someone in her current present, not a ghost of the past that she's personally violated and bled like a lamb.
Someone who's afflicted with Immortality, and well understanding of the burden that it signifies.
In other words, a sliver of reality in a terrible nightmare that she can't turn away from, but also an anchor to hold onto precisely because they understood what this may be like.
Shaking, she scrambles up and tries to stand.
Where are you going?

Gritting her teeth, she grabs her left wrist in her right hand and sends another jolt of lightning to course through her body.

WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO GO, WOMAN
NOWHERE]
You're not gone...are you...? You can't die right in front of me...

At least it did help clear her head, for how brief this may be. She then quickly makes her way to the front, to see the other woman who does appear to be worse off than she is.

You're getting grabbed by the shoulders and shakily shaken, Mokou. Her grip isn't the most stable thing but hopefully some physical contact can bring you back here. And do please ignore the fact that her shirt is torn and bloodied all over because it is rather badly stained...]

And just as suddenly as she froze in place, she snaps out of it with a loud intake of breath - looks like she was holding it without even realizing.]

[Blinking a few times before rubbing her temples tightly, she seems to be finally coming around.]
Goodness... I don't know what just came over me. ...Oh no, did I bump into you? [The colors are coming back at least, and after a quick glance on the floor, it's finally starting to sink in just how badly she's lost it seconds ago.]
