I was a stranger in town and my robes marked me as a magic user, and there was a murder of someone I exposed as a charlatan earlier that day. People drew their own conclusions, as they tend to do.

Many times. Mostly terrorist attacks. Mostly in the line of duty.

I hope my operatives had a chance to...interrogate him. But I honestly don't know what happened to him. I was unconscious with half my face blown off before he was apprehended and by the time I woke up there was a civil war going on around me, and bigger crises to hold my attention. Braxiatel dealt with the organization that he had belonged to, though, and Braxiatel is very thorough.

I take it you've had some dealings with terrorists yourself?

Back home we had these guys hit my hometown. There was a group of them. They took out a lot of innocent people with a pair of airplanes.

I lost colleagues. A lot of guys lost friends and family. A lot of civilians. Then they hit the government. 2001 was a pretty shitty year.
