in case you didn't already see this on GaijinPot... I might try this if I were in the area (and maybe if I understood a little more Japanese). if you do it, you should post about it afterwards; I'd be curious to find out what it was like.

I'm interested, but it says that the first page was removed. Do you have any idea if that means that they've gotten enough people? And how much japanese would it take....?

I would apply for the year-round ones, but I've lived in japan for more than a year so I apparently don't qualify for that one.. ;_;

yikes-- I imagine it probably must mean they have enough, yeah. I wasn't thinking it would fill up so quickly, but then, foreigners, Tokyo... lots of takers there. I'll edit the post. the original ad said something like "conversational Japanese required-- you need to be able to understand directions but speaking ability isn't needed."

yeah, it's too bad about the "less than a year" qualifier. I know there have to be other opportunities for foreign extras/actors out there, so I'll keep an eye out.

Yeah.... I imagine that they have more trouble finding regulars... since people who can understand conversational japanese in less than a year aren't nearly as many.

Thanks!! ^__^ I'm going to look into other places too. I've got to go to a talent agency this week, do you happen to know any reputable well-paying ones?

nothing that's not strictly Kyushu-based, unfortunately. maybe you should make a post asking; I'm sure others would be interested.
