EEEEEE. I just stumbled across this via the newsletter, and am so glad I did, because this was my tropefest prompt! Pern fusions are one of my bulletproof kinks, and then you wrote it with Gen/Adrianne, and this is so adorable and also so true to the worldbuilding of the books (without the weird icky parts :P) that I don't know what to do with myself.

Gen and Adrianne are adorable together, blushy and a little bit fumbly, and then really not, later on. I'm intrigued by Adrianne feeling like she doesn't quite fit in, not yet. Gen's relationship with Rubieth is of course perfect. I love that they have this entire group of friends and fellow dragon riders around them - Julie (Julie! :D) and Jared and Jensen. Julie as wingleader is an EXCELLENT CHOICE, say I. :D And I love the moment between them in the hallway when Gen goes to her and tells her Rubieth is rising - that brief exchange checking that Gen's okay.

This is just the niftiest thing!

Oh, I'm so glad you found this! I was debating linking directly in a comment to your prompts, but I didn't want to come across in a "you are obligated to read this!" way :) I am so so glad you enjoyed this, though! Pern stories are one of my favorite things, too, and it was a really fun project to write one of my own and get to leave out the weird icky parts. I had also forgotten a bunch of Pern knowledge, too, so I got to run around researching Pern dragon biology and so forth. Very fun :D

I won't lie, I was HIGHLY AMUSED when I realized Sandy's dragon was named Demonith. (I kinda skipped the list in the beginning.)

But yes, I prompted a bunch of things and threw them out into the void without much hope of any of them getting written, especially since there didn't seem to be a lot other SPN RPF people participating. I am just so thrilled that the prompt caught your eye. :D
