hey. i totally agree w/you abt labels. i don't know you. you don't know me. i stumbled upon your journal...and i just felt the urge to comment. labels are fucking gay. today i was chillin' w/a few friends. one girl said..."if you say you're punk, you're not punk."...then my sis says "if you say you're goth you're not goth...."...and it took a lot of fucking gusto to just bite my tongue and listen to them babble. be who you want to be. who cares abt who thinks what is what...and yadda yadda yadddda...if you like mandy moore..fucking go for it...she has a great voice...and black is a kickass color...you don't have to say your goth to wear it. my category is denise b/c that's "who i is"...haha...i fucking like slipknot...fear factory....zeppelin...the beatles...and the itsy bitsy spider...i wear black but i also wear lime green. i eat sushi. i want to dye my hair orange. my finger nails are blue. eyeliner is cool. i like a scottish bartender...i think saves the day is kickass...and bjork is gorgeous.....so what am i? see, labels should

I know that you posted this about a month ago, but I just wanted to comment. I wish we had people like you at my school instead of all the trendy whores that love to go around like "omg she's so punk. eew!". I have a 'friend' that loves avril lavigne and is always asking me how to 'be more punk, cause like, I'm totally punk and she wants some tips'. it pisses me off so much. I am not a punk, I am not a goth, I am not a poseur. I wish that people could just live their lives without labels and elitists. so many times I've gotten flak from "hardcore punx" that I'm a poseur because I like afi & from first to last. well, if I like that music, I'm gonna listen to it; why do I have to only listen to bands that they feel are punk? how come I can't like emo, indie rock & even some *shudders* indie pop and not be called a 'total poseur'? down with labels, up with individuality.
btw (old) slipknot & fear factory is cool, (vegetarian)sushi is awesome, and lime green is t3h sex :)
