Oh wow! I just read all of your Shelter fics and want to tell you how much I love them! I can totally see these situation happening in the movie; you capture their voices so well.

I felt sad reading this story only because Gabe was so embarrassed about Shaun being gay. I can't imagine Shaun feeling that great too by getting the cold shoulder by everyone. But we know how everything turned out. Gabe grew up and learned to accept his bigger brother.

I realized that your Shelter fics were published in 2009 but can we expect something new from you soon? Please say yes!

Hey, thank you so much for commenting! I loove getting comments on older fics :)Yes, Gabe is a little embarrassed here, but he's not hateful, and he's only nineteenish. In a year or two he'll be fine *g*

I do actually have another Shelter-fic on the backburner that I'm hoping to finish sometime this summer/autumn - my love for this universe is undiminished since 2009 :)

Yea, I can definitely understand how Gabe feels. It's not easy when you find out a family member is gay even if when society is changing and a bit more accepting. I love how much he loves and care for his brother and Zach in the movie. He's probably my favourite character in the movie besides Zach, Shaun and Cody. :D
