GACKT's LINE Message - July 29, 2012
今日でとうとう東京での「義経秘伝」の公演が終わる。
東京千秋楽だ。
いつもそうだが、あっという間に時間が過ぎてしまった。
初日を迎えるまでは本当に寝る時間もなく、
10日ほど、徹夜で作業をしていたのが随分前のように感じる。
あっという間に東京の千秋楽がやってきた。
昔、自分で言った言葉を思い出した。
コンサートを作るのも舞台を作るのも映画を作るのも
トンネルを掘るのに似てる。
完成させるのには本当に時間も労力もかかる。
だが、通り抜けるのは一瞬だ。
さて･･･、これから名古屋公演に向けての調整もしなければならない。
時間というのは本当に貴重だ。
最近、「TIME」という映画に使われていた発想がおもしろかった。
時間が金の代わりになるというものも映画だけの話じゃない。
今の僕にとっても時間は何よりも貴重なものだ。
歳を重ねた人たちにとっては、
金で買えるなら買いたいと思ってる人は少なくないだろう。
もちろん、そんなことはできないわけで。
時間を無駄にしないように
生きていかないとと思いながら
本当に無駄な時間はなかったのかと振り返ると
ふぅ･･･とため息が出てしまう。
僕もまだまだだ。
今日の舞台も二度と帰ってこないもの。
見に来る人たちにとっても、
やる側の僕らにとっても、
二度と帰ってこないもの。
最高の感動を
見たこと、触れたことのない感動を届けるために
今日という一日を費やそう。
それが僕に与えられた使命だから。
さて、行ってくるかぁ。

At last, today marks the end of the Yoshitsune Hiden stage in Tokyo.
The final Tokyo stage.
It's always like this, but time just zips by me.
Before the first stage, I was working without sleep for about 10 days with really no time to even sleep, but that already seems like a distant past.
Before I knew it, the final Tokyo stage has already arrived.
I remembered something I said a long time ago.
Creating a concert, a stage, or a movie is akin to digging a tunnel.
Completing it takes a whole lot of time and labor.
But passing through it only takes a moment.
Now, I have to start making adjustments for the Nagoya stage.
Time is truly valuable.
I recently found an interesting concept in a movie called "TIME".
The value of time being substituted for money isn't just found in movies.
To me, right now, time is more precious than anything.
Among those who have gained layers of age [= GACKT's way of saying "who have aged"] , there are probably quite a few who wish they could buy time.
Naturally, that's an impossible feat.
I try to live my life without wasting time, but when I look back wondering if I truly didn't waste any of it, I find myself sighing.
I'm still a work in progress.
Today's stage will also never come back.
For both the people who will come to see it and us who will perform it, it will never come back again [once it's over].
I will dedicate myself to today so I can bring [the audience] the ultimate thrills and inspirations that they've never seen or felt before.
Because that is the mission given to me.
Well, I'm off now~.
