here i am, coming to you live from the futon andy and i sleep on, on a wednesday afternoon. this is the first sick day i've taken from my current job; i've actually been kind of unclear on the temp agency's sick day policy, and if i had been at all functional this morning i probably would have gone to work.

It was Bastard. That was the 4-part one he said only works like half of the time.

That concert was SO GOOD! Today kicked my ass a little bit, but it was worth it.

That concert sounds awesome! I just discovered that Ben's going to be in Chicago April 19-21 and there are still tickets for the show on the 20th, the day after my birthday. I have just sent an urgent plea to my friend Lisa who is a huge Ben Folds fan to go with me.

I'm back. I wanted to add, I think because he spends a lot of time touring (he really does...he's one of those few who I think actually tours really consistently...him and Alice Cooper), and one thing that I think a lot of people find really remarkable about Ben fans is how many of them know all the words to all of his songs. I mean he inspires devotees, doesn't he? (Case in point. Even though I never talk about him anymore, I know most of the words to his last album anyway.) Even if he turns out bad music, which I don't think he really does, we all dutifully listen to it and learn it (I think in part because it can often be surprising, especially lately, which things you end up really liking after you've listened to them a few times). I guess I think that Ben fans can be represented by going to benfolds.org. It's birds of a feather at that place, really. And when Ben does get talked about on that website, which is surprisingly seldom, he mostly gets made fun of. But perhaps what is great about it is that this has pretty much
