Have any of you heard of the saturn return?  On Tuesday, one of the women in my therapy group said I was experiencing this and I had never heard of it.  It's pretty freaking amazing to read about.  Even if I don't totally buy it, it sure does describe this period in my life!

Day 1 of the new commute/work/daycare/etc. routine went well. Joe knocked on the daycare door a few minutes early but it was okay and he made it to work on time (hour and fifteen minutes). His commute home was longer and more frustrating, but he was home around 6:15 ( Read more... )

I expected things wouldn't be perfect immediately upon moving back to the bay area, but it has just gotten to be too much. A difficult move, a less-than-stellar job so far, a tricky commute, cumbersome daycare arrangements, a car accident, a depressed husband, and cat issues (one of the little bastards pissed all over our grocery bags! Joe and I still can't quite agree on where to live. I am pretty set on Alameda. The town is quiet, the housing is affordable and comfortably sized, there are many commute options, and bills and daycare would be decently priced ( Read more... )
