The day that tried to kill us, or a photoless day in the life

I had expectations of writing up something really witty. Apparently my running facebook commentary on the Royal Wedding was a hit. I feared I was being obnoxious (not that that's ever stopped me before). I am grateful to nose for keeping me company via chat while we watched simultaneously. It was almost like having a friend with me! I mean, I did. But ( Read more... )

Oh my gosh, a classic "outing gone wrong: puke style".

I felt all of this, so much. I've been thinking about getting a makeover! I really never learned what makeup is good for me. I could use the lift.

You know? After a craptastic day it really helped knowing my face looked nice. And it's free! Although maybe if you just buy product? I thought it would cost something.

I hope you've already exceeded your week's puke quota and you don't have any more coming your way for a while. Ugh.

It was epic. I'll take breastmilk puke in infant sized lots over full food kid sized pukes any day. I think we'll be alright, but oh, the laundry. Wow.

It is unfortunate that both kids were sick, but at least it didn't spoil your day.

Strangely, the day was not spoiled. I'm not sure how that occurred, but I am grateful.

Oh, how I hate puke. I have immense sympathy for you. We've had our share of pukefests lately too, but not to your extreme.

May I ask which photo it was that Bennett got so excited over?

I LOVED staying up and watching the wedding with you!

And props to you, Mama, for playing makeup with your son. I love you so freaking hard.

The pukefest was just awesome. In hindsight. I mean, I just had to laugh. We weren't even done cleaning up Bennett when Astrid horked. It was one for the books.

I don't remember which photo it was. He just loved them all. He was turning to show Adam something, or maybe just to tell him about Elliott and knocked his glass over. This is why jam jars make the best toddler glasses ever. We have plenty more!

The makeup thing is a no brainer. It washes off! He sees me use it and wants to play too. He's pretty 'boy-ish' in his everyday likes, so I definitely try to encourage any interest he has in 'girlish' things. Follow the kid's lead, right? The world will be all too willing to tell him what's what, I certainly don't want to echo that! But really, the sample lipstick that came in the freebies box looks fab on him.

Not related to the post, this book made me think of you. Lots of gender role breaking.
