Cheese contains morphine

Other drug news: a newborn baby was taken from its family and put in foster care for 5 days because the mom ate a poppy-seed bagel and tested positive for opiates.

Looking at meat calms you down: "Contrary to expectations, a McGill University researcher has discovered that seeing meat makes people significantly less ( Read more... )

Cheese is mostly heroin.

But you knew that.

You already have heroin. Just do the heroin. That's my advice to you. Just do the heroin.

Cheese story- best comment is #7:

"Ahem: "Source: VegetarianTimes.com" No bias to see here, move along please. (Bonus points for the spurious link to autism.)

Your brain also contains plenty of opioids, like endorphin. Clearly this is the source of zombie's addictive behavior, and their taste for fleeing people."

On the TV show political disparity, no "Glee" on there at all? What the funk? Not large enough share? I'm sure the gap is real. Also, yet another annoying Democrat (vs Democratic) usage?

Oh, and the meat study was (surprise!) with 82 males. Awesome sample size, Canadian dude!

I don't mean to be condescending, but do you have any scientific training? That sample size is ample.

Yes, if introductory collegiate stat, poli-sci, and science classes count (Bs all around). No condescension taken. Perhaps I was mistaken. Does a sample size of 82 predetermine a larger margin of error/smaller degree of confidence in the findings?

A sample size of 82, with all sorts of enabling assumptions, would give you a error expectation like +- 11%.

YMMV

RE: meat. This doesn't surprise me as your digestive system is stimulated by our parasympathetic system (our rest/relax state) while rage would be associated with the sympathetic system. So looking at meat preps you for eating a meal, while if the pictures were of, say, animals attacking each other might stimulate an aggressive state.

RE: Cat Drinking. This is interesting.

"At first, Dr. Stocker and his colleagues assumed that the raspy hairs on a cat’s tongue, so useful for grooming, must also be involved in drawing water into its mouth. But the tip of the tongue, which is smooth, turned out to be all that was needed."

I've taught this very thing, so now with this evidence I'll change my lecture notes. Yay science!

I bet the TSA geniuses wouldn't know what to do and would pat you down anyway, because protocol says either go through the scanner or get a pat down.
