I have two prescriptions, one for gout and one for cholesterol. They refill at the same time. Today I noticed I have 4 of one left and 5 of the other. I don't know if this means I got shorted one or extra of the other or if one fell on the floor.

Train of thought this morning: "OMFG DO I HAVE COLON CANCER oh right I ate a bunch of beets at dinner last night."

I semi-randomly have difficulty sleeping. Sometimes it's straight up insomnia -- this seems vaguely but not strictly related to caffeine intake earlier in the day; oddly it seems coffee has more of an effect than soda. So the good news was that I was in L.A. with various close & extended family last week, so I got to raid my Dad's drug stash. Most relevantly, he set me up with some Allopurinol. Fuck. Yesterday I thought I was in the clear after a weekend of wine tasting, but woke up this morning with an all-too-familiar pain in my right big toe. Wonder if I ate a trigger food or ingredient last night that contributed.
