Protect Atoli recrap

Turnout was initially 4 people; Church(SKN/AST/MP Up), Branc(WHM/DEF), Slash(DEF/AST/Swipe), and mikau(AST/MUS/ASG). Later, Kyoji(BRW/BSK) turned up and I allowed him to enter because the battle was going poorly.

THE FIRST HOUR OF THE BATTLE NEVER HAPPENED.
But no really, the heroes started right up against Kristy, with Church wailing on her for all he's worth with a couple of well-placed Sunny Spirals and a Deva. Kristy only got off one Bio before the heroes knocked the AIDA out of her, allowing Atoli to escape over to the side of the heroes. Sakaki got mad. >:O

Then the glitches started. The stat script literally would not decrease at all, for a reason un-fucking-known to me. This always happens when I host and never at any other time. Anyway, because of Sakaki's mean counter and the heroes fielding mostly physical offense and magical support, he was almost never damaged the whole battle. I believe when the battle ended, he had 87% of his HP remaining. This isn't to say that the heroes didn't deal damage; VICTORIAN, by a sharp contrast, had only 31% of his(her?) HP left.

At around 10 I said "fuck this" and cleared all the entries, taking careful note of all unit's HP, MP, TP, and CT. I then had everyone rejoin, and to my shock and joyous surprise, the glitching continued. So I kept track of ticks in my head.

After that, the battle got good. 4 of the 6 heroes had Auto-Life and were Hasted, and were looking in pretty sweet shape...until Sakaki unleashed Disaster Sword, a devastating multi-target attack that has a 30% chance to drop CT by 25. Church, Atoli and mikau died, but fortunately for them, Church and Atoli were auto-lifed. Right after this, Branc got a turn, casting Life on mikau.

Unfortunately for the heroes, Sakaki moved again very quickly. It occurs to me now that Sakaki's speed may have been a tidge high. At any rate, he unleashed another devastating Disaster Sword, dropping the heroes once again to a critical state. Church, Kyoji, Atoli and mikau were critical while Branc was killed-then-Auto-Lifed.

They probably could have recovered from this too...if not for the fact that VICTORIAN moved right afterwards. He/She/It unleashed this pure gem of a technique:
Royal Bullet (Used by VICTORIAN) - 25 MP. 100%. Power: ???. The user fires off 10 bullets that home in on random opponents. Each of these bullets do 1d10 critical-ignoring damage.

This killed several people, but most notably, Atoli.

Anyway, despite the status script glitching, I feel this battle was winnable. If only the heroes had a little more turnout and if the bosses got a slight nerf to their speed and the heroes are able to avoid unlucky turnclumps, I think they can win this for sure. On the plus side, though, the heroes did a great job of protecting her. It really wasn't their fault they lost.

The heroes won 65 EXP for the loss and Kyoji got 50, although it's really 40 EXP and 25 EXP because a Really Bad hazard -> EXP Hate summoned a random callscript character (it was Kairi) to steal 25 EXP from all heroes. :B

I'd expect a rematch of this event next week.
