The phone rang and I answered it. The woman said "Hi, I'm calling on behalf of the Republican Party. I just want you to confirm that President Bush can count on your vote tomorrow"

and I said "NO he absolutely can not! I'm voting for John Kerry!"

And she said "Ummmmm, what . . . thanks . . . ummmm"

And it made me giggle and jump.

I watched some of The Pirate Movie this morning. Ahhh, 80's nostalgia. This was on HBO all the time when I was a little kid.

Why does it take 7 phone calls and more than an hour to get my credit card company to realize that I do not want their "free" gift (pay only shipping and handling) nor do I want any such "free" gifts in the future?
