Oh wow, your icon comes from a sequel to one of her best books. I had no idea a sequel even existed! *makes note to self to go to library ASAP*

She's an amazing author -- all her work. And I can't say enough praise about the Coldfire books. The world she created within them is so real and so amazing. And the characters, oh God. The hero is one thing...but it's the anti-hero whom I really fell in love with. The guy I knew I should hate...but instead loved so much that I invested all my emotional resonance with him.

Definitely you should read them. :-)

Lovely post...and with a book rec to boot!

I'm going to finish my novel this year if it kills me. I'm going to get a rough draft done, I'm going to stop and do nothing but read for two months (and I'll put the Coldfire on the list) then I'm going to finish it. That's my resolution. :)
