Just in case you don't know how politically active I am: I read your entry and said, "What? We're not leaving 'til the sixth!" And then I read on and said, "Oh yeah. The election. That thing between now and England." You can tell which event is more important to me, eh?
Now if I can only find my Alice Cooper Election shirt. It's a t-shirt with Alice in a straightjacket saying something like "A troubled man for troubled times." I've worn it every Election Day since I got it, and boy do I get some odd looks. *g*
I've already got my Election Day supplies organized. Blank US map, red pen, blue pen, batteries for the TV remote, and a hefty supply of caffeine. Yep, ready to go.
I hear that. I'm not going to bed until it's over and they've sorted out all the voter fraud the Repubs will try to perpetrate, and Obama is declared the winner, rightfully, despite their best efforts to thwart his victory.
Oh hell yeah. It doesn't even matter that I have to be at work the next day and that I'll be up for two days in a row after that, because of the overseas flight. No way am I going to bed and missing anything.
I voted by mail last Monday so no lines for me. :) You came to Brandon? That's not too far from me- in fact I was just there Saturday to grab lunch (where my closest Sweet Tomatoes is). I'll have to try Giordanos. I'm excited for your upcoming trip :)
