10:05 AM 6/29/09 · Apparently there was a power outage last night. Woke up a bit late this morning because my initial alarm, clock radio that stays on for 3 hours, didn't go off. Missed my morning shot of news because of this, best way to wake up in the world in my opinion that doesn't involve someone naked and snuggly, but that was just the start ( Read more... )

I use my cell phone's alarm clock feature now. It doesn't go down when the power goes down and it can be set to only go off Monday-Friday.

Oh, I have 2 other alarms. Cellphone and a simulated electronic rooster.

Haha...overslept, did ya? Looks like your triple alarm system isn't so infallable after all. Maybe now you will stop trying to advocate it to people :P

I'm surprised you didn't know that the cable was called coaxial (or coax...pronounced coe-ax... for short). For the future, ethernet cable is called category 5 (or cat 5 for short).

Splitters are awesome.

You can also avoid the computer problem in the future if you plug it into a backup power supply...something you really should do anyway in a state known for its rolling blackouts.
