John met me at the Bean this evening and we actually had a fairly interesting and meaningful set of conversations. One of the topics we discussed was future occupations. So on the ride home, I started thinking about what is ahead of me in International Relations. Whenever I remind myself that that is what I am going into, I get really excited about

Have you/Are you going to learn Japanese?

About the marriage thing, I kinda feel the same way you do about not wanting to be tied down and there's just so much in life to do, but maybe when you find the right guy, you'll want to be tied to him and experience everything life's got to offer with him. At least, it sounds nice.

I hope to learn Japanese. I purchased one of those Living Language tapes to start getting a better hang of it, but it's too hard for me to retain it all without actual classes. However, I plan to study abroad there winter semester and they offer classes from Beginning Japanese there. So I hope to start when I go.

I hope you're right. I have also been feeling that I could stay with one guy, but never get married. Kind of like the Johnny Depp thing I mentioned. I don't know, though. I guess we'll see.
