My teeth are mostly better, and I just want to be able to eat again. It's really bad I can't eat real food since I'm going camping on Tuesday. Speaking of, my dad and I have a rule that we can't reread books, so I'm in a new book getting frenzy! I'm getting ten from the library, I have one I plan to buy, and fallen_oblivion is lending me three. Here's the very ( Read more... )

You'll like Eragon and the next book comes out in August!!!

For pure fluff quality, I've recent read the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books. They weren't bad, nice to have something I could read on the fly and all.

I've been re-reading Narnia too and gah, am not looking forward to Horse and his Boy either if I am thinking the same way.

If you've never read them and are looking for something more classic-- I recommend the Anne of Green Gables series- at LEAST the first 2.

Post some things that you like - maybe we'll organize a book trade at JadeCon!

I love the Sisterhood! But I've already read it, and that's against the camping rules. Also, several people are in line for my copy of the third one (I wouldn't care, but they took it and won't give it back) and I already read the other two recently.

My mom read Anne of Green Gables when we were in PEI and LOVED it so much. Wouldn't shut up about it. I may read it eventually.

Oh if my Anne books weren't part of a set, I'd bring them for you. READ ANNE. You'll LOVE it.

I picked up the third one Friday night and saw the movie. Oh well. *pbbt* Made me think of a lot of my CJ friends. :)

YOu should read that other one by Cornelia Funke. Trust me.

How did your teeth come out? 'Cause I just got mine out on friday and am off the pain medicine.

Cheers~!

Ellen

PS - The Witch's Boy, Singer, and Maximum Ride, as well as Babyji, My summer of Love, and the ever present, soon to come out, tamora pierce book

I passed the third sisterhood book off to Sarah yesterday, so you should have it before too long...Anne of Green Gables is awesome. I loove them. I love tons of other books I could give you, but none of them are fantasy. No me gusta fantasy.

Anne is fabulous!

Try Tales of the Otori -- there are three books, and the first one is Beyond the Nightengale Floor. I've started Eragon, but am not very far into it. So far it seems pretty standard fantasy.

We have all the Narnia books here, and Eragon, if you need to borrow. Not to mention lots of other books ... And have you ever read Zahn's Thrawn trilogy?

No, ooooh Zahn. Could I borrow those? Not for this trip, because I have more books than there are days, but when I get back?

I think Sarah might have the first one; I'll have to check. You know you're not a true club jader until you've read Zahn. Or Alston. Or Stackpole.
