For pure fluff quality, I've recent read the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books. They weren't bad, nice to have something I could read on the fly and all.
I've been re-reading Narnia too and gah, am not looking forward to Horse and his Boy either if I am thinking the same way.
If you've never read them and are looking for something more classic-- I recommend the Anne of Green Gables series- at LEAST the first 2.

My mom read Anne of Green Gables when we were in PEI and LOVED it so much. Wouldn't shut up about it. I may read it eventually.

Try Tales of the Otori -- there are three books, and the first one is Beyond the Nightengale Floor. I've started Eragon, but am not very far into it. So far it seems pretty standard fantasy.
