My teeth are mostly better, and I just want to be able to eat again. It's really bad I can't eat real food since I'm going camping on Tuesday. Speaking of, my dad and I have a rule that we can't reread books, so I'm in a new book getting frenzy! I'm getting ten from the library, I have one I plan to buy, and
fallen_oblivion is lending me three. Here's the very long list, if anyone's interested:
Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore. I've heard this is really funny, even though I know next to nothing about Christianity or the Bible. Anyone read it?
Sorcery and Cecelia or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot: Being the Correspondence of Two Young Ladies of Quality Regarding Various Magical Scandals in London and the Country and The Grand Tour : Being a Revelation of Matters of High Confidentiality and Greatest Importance, Including Extracts from the Intimate Diary of a Noblewoman and the Sworn Testimony of a Lady of Quality, both by Caroline Stervermer and Patricia C. Wrede. I like Patricia C. Wrede a very lot, and these sound awesome.
The Supernaturalist by Eoin Colfer. I like Eoin Colfer okay, and this sounds mildly interesting. If I don't get around to it, it'll be okay with me.
Going Postal by Terry Pratchett. Eeee Terry Pratchett book at the library I haven't read eeeeeeeee! And it's in!
A Horse and His Boy, The Magician's Nephew, and The Last Battle by C. S. Lewis. Finishing up my reread of Narnia. I only vaguely remember my first reading, but I recall finding A Horse and His Boy so. Boring.
The Fall, Castle, and Aenir by Garth Nix. Hey, I like everything by Garth Nix so far. Might as well check these out.
Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. Hannah said this is good; I like the description.
The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke. Hannah is nice and is lending me her copy. I've been meaning to read this for a while.
Eragon by Christopher Paolini. Same as above.
The Amulet of Samarkand (The Bartimaeus Trilogy, Book 1) by Jonathan Stroud. If Hannah can find her copy.
Other recommendations are welcome!
